Woodlike Ocean was born from the ocean; sustainable swimwear crafted out of ocean recovered fishing nets and other recycled material. Merging two aspects as the foundation of our activities. The ocean and you, a modern woman that embraces a healthy lifestyle. You are conscious and generous towards the environment, confident and comfortable in all aspects of your being.
We are Sonja and Mauricio Palma, wife - husband duo, partners and creators of Woodlike Ocean. Both of us share a deep love for the ocean, exotic beaches, and a healthy lifestyle.

For every purchased piece you make a direct donation to the Healthy Seas initiative. One of their main activities is to organize voluntary divers for the recovering of ghost fishing nets used within the ECONYL® yarn.

Ocean plastic About 640,000 tons of fishing gear end up in our oceans every year. Our Italian fabric uses 78% regenerated nylon comprised mainly from ghost fishing nets and other recycled post-consumer waste such as carpets. Each Woodlike bikini disposes of approximately 180-200 g of plastic waste from the sea.

The production of our swimwear takes place in a small socially responsible family business in Turkey. For us, responsible production conditions and fair treatment of partners and employees are central. Personal contact with our producers is very important to us, which is why we visit them for every single collection to see for ourselves on site.
